DAY 365

Here it is!  Day 365.  Simon and I spent a lot of the day on trying to come up with something that would look super cool, but also represent a celebration of sorts.  I know this picture isn't going to knock anybody's socks off, but I've always wanted to have one of those "E.T. hiding in the closet amongst all the dolls" moments; and I think this comes pretty dang close to it.  We had fun shooting today and I got a fantastic one of Simon running in the yard with the balloons which he may or may not share with the world.  Anyway, This appears to be the end of the road for my Picture a Day for one Year blog, I wonder what's next?  I'm sure it'll be fun and interesting enough to share with you all.  I'll keep in touch.  For now though it's been a great learning experience, I've really enjoyed sharing in this experiment with you all.  On to the next!  Cheers everyone!  :D

DAY 364

And just a couple of the HUNDREDS of tomatoes he has growing, it's insane the amount he actually has growing back there!  He says only a couple more weeks or so.....  I can't wait!  (by the way, only ONE more day left of pictures!!!)  I'll have to come up with something super cool and exciting for tomorrow's picture......

Here's one of a stalk of corn from my dad's garden.  I like the different perspective and the shadows of the corn stalks surrounding this one.

Today Simon and I went down to Laguna Beach to meet my cousin Jason and his wife Jackie and their kids for our monthly "get-together".  We arrived a bit early so Simon and I went and sat on the beach for a few minutes watching the waves and all the beach-goers enjoy themselves.  I snapped this picture of the two of us, and I like how neither of us are looking at the camera trying to be incognito in our bright red and white ENGLAND soccer team jerseys!!  Good times.

DAY 361

My dad and his buddy are growing a little garden in his backyard and today I decided to take some pictures of some of them.  This is "beans" of some sort it reminds of the story Jack and the Beanstalk from when I was a kid.

DAY 360

Here's a picture from one of our hiking/rock climbing excursions.  There was a little joshua tree growing way up on this mountain/hill above the valley; I thought It looked kind of cool.  :)

DAY 359

Spencer is super excited for the World Cup too!!!  Personally, I'm rooting for 3 teams this year, I'm hoping that at least one of them makes it to the end - to make it more interesting for me to watch.  :)  (the teams are U.S.A., of course, England, and Spain)  Woo Hoo!! Bring on the soccer!!!!

DAY 358

My Dad loaned me this old 35mm camera a few years ago to take a black and white photography class, and I never returned it to him.  I thought it might make for an interesting picture because it's so old-fashioned looking.  Unfortunately the reflection in the lens is a little too distracting for my liking.

Today the clouds in the sky looked all wispy and cool-like, one of the clouds even had a rainbow mixed in it.  Not sure if you can see it very well in this picture, but the bottom left cloud is faintly rainbow colored!
