After our rock climbing excursion yesterday, I feel like one big bruise and can hardly move. :( I really like how this picture turned out from yesterday though. It's Simon trying to make his shadow look like Superman but in the picture it looks much more like those monkeys from that kids game, Monkey in a Barrel! Too cool!
Simon and I decided to take the kids "rock climbing" today. It was a lovely day to do it as the sun was out with a nice cool-ish breeze blowing through. The kids took us to their favorite spot to rock climb and we spent an hour or so trying to get as high up the hill as we could. We got a fair ways up it and then Adrienne decided she really needed to use the restroom so we had to make a snappy exit to get her home. All in all it was a super fun time. :)
I totally ADORE this picture of my furry little nephew, Ripken. One of the blinds in the window is broken at the very end, as you can probably see, and little Ripken uses the space that's opened up because if it as a lookout so he can watch "his" kids play in the yard. He's such a cutie!
Here's a random picture of a wall fixture at my sister's house. I stopped in yesterday to say hi to the kids and I noticed for the first time that there's actually something written on her wall decorations. Turns out I like what this one says......
We haven't taken it out much since I bought it for him last year, but this is a picture of Simon's target shooting rifle. I think it's kind of cool that it has a triangle-ish shaped barrel.
Here's the picture they got of us on the Jurassic Park ride at Universal Studios yesterday. Not a terribly flattering picture of me, but Simon is obviously enjoying himself immensely.
Today Simon and I took the trip down to Universal Studios. We bought a ticket for today and now we can go again for free anytime for a year! We went a bit later in the afternoon, so we didn't see and do EVERYTHING there is to do there, but we did a fair amount. We saw a couple of shows and went on the Jurasic Park Ride and the VERY suprising Mummy Returns Ride, super fun! This picture is of the waterfall at the end of the Jurasic Park Ride; it's kind of a pretty sight.
WOW, I can't believe there's only 25 days left until my year is up!! Craziness. So, I stopped over the Barbato's house today to pick up Ali to hang out and use our internet, and there was this small bunch of pretty flowers in one little section of their yard. The rest of the yard is all barren with a few weeds sprinkled in, which made these all the more interesting.
