DAY 318

I mentioned the other day that I was out experimenting with being creative and this is something I was messing around with.  I think Simon and I are gonna go out and give it another go with even more creativity, but this looks kind of weird; I think.

DAY 317

Look! It's Bertha's shadow driving down the road with us!  For those of you who don't know, Bertha is the name of my car; she's an FJ Cruiser.  She looks kind of small in this picture, but she's a big girl.  :)

DAY 316

While I was out with my camera "experimenting" with being creative I came across this memorial cross that I hadn't seen in this area before; and I come to this area fairly often.  It's obviously been there for quite a while though so I thought I'd snap a couple of pictures of it.  It's something a little different, I suppose.

I went out to experiment with some "creative" ideas for pictures today and I found this group of flowers that looked pretty, and so I took some pictures of them.  So I ended up being non-creative, but it's pretty.

I really like the way these plants that grow out of rocks out here look.  They're interesting looking.

DAY 313

Simon and I took a trip down to Orange County this weekend to pick up an early birthday present for him at South Coast Plaza.  We had to stop and get Bertha a drink on our way back home; apparently gas prices are going back up so we only put enough in to get us home.  That's the only thing that I don't love about my car, she's a bit of a gas guzzler.  :(

DAY 312

Apparently up at Lake Arrowhead they have a (sort of) amusement park for little kids.  I think it must only run during the summer months though, because it was pretty much abandoned.  I always find it sad to see kids' fun parks empty of happy, laughing kids. 

DAY 311

We took a drive up to Lake Arrowhead and had a little walk around.  Everywhere close to the docks there were ducks.  It must be Spring because it seemed that they were all "paired up".  One boy and one girl.  This ducky couple was pretty cute.  I really like how the water is so still it looks like the ducks floating in mid air or something, weird.

DAY 310

When I woke up this morning Simon tried to convince me that it had snowed in the night.  I refused to believe him until he said that he had picture evidence of it!  Bizarre as it is, there was a small amount of snow dusting several parts of the yard.  It's crazy talk.

DAY 309

The weather has been a bit odd here the last couple of days.  It's been super windy and it finally rained a bit today.  this is a picture of a reflection in a puddle on the back porch.
