DAY 288

So recently our cable internet provider has been really annoying spotty with it service and Simon has been in and out of the "server closet" several times a day over the past few weeks.  Today we finally decided to do something about the whole mess and bought ourselves a new high speed modem in hopes that that would solve the problem.  This picture was taken after we got the modem home and Simon was working on getting it all hooked up and back up and running.  As you can see, we were sitting on the floor in front of the closet and Snackie decided it was time to hit up the humans for some lovin'.  She didn't really appreciate the noise coming from the closet though, and you can see her concern in her ear posture.  Silly cat.......

DAY 287

I had to post two pictures for today because they are both equally amazing.  Today my eldest nephew, Bradley, saw the light of his 17th birthday.  It's shocking to say those words because honestly, it seems like only yesterday that I was helping him take his first steps and accidentally teaching him the somewhat dirty word "ka-ka".  And then the picture on the right is an amazing feat because of the simple fact that no one has caught him smiling on film since before he became a teenager.  Anyway, Happy Birthday Brad, I love you kiddo; may you see many more!

DAY 286

Today I was a little snap happy and was taking pictures of anything and everything because I'm really enjoying taking pictures with the new camera.  This is one that I thought looked interesting.

DAY 285

Today  Ali and Katelyn and I spent pretty much all day working on this puzzle.  We finished at about 12:30 at night and we were all delirious and giddy by the end of it and very tired.  But we all seemed to enjoy ourselves.

 

DAY 284

I know I post a lot of pictures of my animals, but they're pretty much our life right now; we don't have human babies.  And I really can't help myself when they're snuggling like that.

 

DAY 283

Here's another one of the pictures I took of my sister's kids the other day.  I REALLY like the way this came out.  It's different and fun and the colors look pretty cool.  When I picked up the prints from the photo place, the lady at the counter asked if I was the one who took the pictures and then when I said yes, she complimented me on them and said what a good job I did.  That was pretty cool! 

DAY 282

Today I was just snapping pictures all day long trying to get used to using the "manual" mode on the new Canon and I thought this one looked kind of cool.  Not much other than that I can say about it...... it's a word puzzle.......

DAY 281

Today, my sister asked if I could take some pictures of her kids for this new picture frame she bought.  I went around and picked them up and drove them over to the park where the grass is green and there's some nicer scenery than just desert sand and cacti around.  I took many pictures and there are several I like, but I think this one is the funnest.  They all look happy, it's a good one.  :)

DAY 280

So, here's a picture taken with the new Rebel.  I think this is one of my favorite pictures.  Not that I like looking at my dog's booty, but the look she's giving the camera and how Simon is slightly blurred behind her.  I just like it.

DAY 279

So I wasn't able to cancel the order for the new camera I wanted, (It's a Canon Rebel T2i series 550D), when we thought our little Powershot was dead.  It showed up via UPS this morning and it's absolutely lovely!  I can't wait to get better at using it as I think it's going to take the most amazing pictures!
